ADSL Broadband Internet Overview

This service is delivered over the phone line to your property and is generally the most cost effective way of getting fast internet with high download limits.

We can supply ADSL at 4 different speeds (256k, 512k, 1500k & 8000k) over the top end and have no lock in contracts.

Coverage is determined by the distance from the phone exchange to you; and unfortunately in some remote areas the exchanges have not been fitted to run ADSL. Although we can easily check to see if the exchange has been upgraded to support ADSL; it can be dependant on how far your property is away from the phone exchange if your able to get it.

All of our Plans are Shaped. This means that if your exceed your monthly usage allowance we slow your connection speed down to 64k rather than send you an excess bill if you go over.

We have two types of shaping; one method shapes over the full day; where the other method has two shaping periods; peak and off peak. Peak manages data from 12:00 - 24:00 and Off Peak is from 24:00 - 12:00. These plans have a higher allowance are geared towards users who queue up to download content overnight.

You can change plans at any time; so if you were to exceed your limit every month then we would suggest to upgrade your plan to the next level.

Line speed changes can also be made however can take a few days to occur.
