Wireless Internet
Wireless Internet is becoming more common mainly for laptop users so that they can connect to the internet wherever they are.
Some home users are also using it when they do not have an fixed line installed at their house.
The Wireless Internet goes through the Mobile Phone Network (This is not to be confused with Local Wireless Lan that many people have where they have their own wireless network in their house that then connects back to the internet using the phone line)
This means that where ever you have mobile phone coverage you also will have the wireless internet.
When comparing Wireless Internet to ADSL it is more costly for high usage customers; and it does depend on reception with the wireless towers. So its most useful to low content users (Web, Email Browsing Etc) who will use the device close to mobile phone towers.
We have both Pre-Paid and Month to Month Plans available in wireless. Again similar to our ADSL we have no Lock in Contracts for either method.
Pre-Paid Plans:
| Wireless Prepaid 1 GB - 30 Days | $33.00 |
| Wireless Prepaid 2 GB - 30 Days | $40.00 |
| Wireless Prepaid 3 GB - 60 Days | $56.00 |
| Wireless Prepaid 6 GB - 60 Days | $74.00 |
Pre Paid Plans have a credit expiry of 30 days for 1 + 2GB Plans and 60 days for 3 + 6GB Plans. At the Credits Expiry date any un-used credit is forfeited.
If you exceed you allocated limit your internet will stop until you credit some more usage onto it. This means that there are no un-expected bills that may arrive from heavy usage.
Important Note: The SIM cards that are used within the modem are deactivated after 5 days of your credit expiry if they are not re-charged; This is a Mobile Carrier Issue; not ours. If your SIM card is de-activated then to re-establish your service a new SIM card needs to be issued and re-registed at a cost of $20
Month to Month Plans
| Wireless Broadband 1 GB | $31.95 |
| Wireless Broadband 2 GB | $36.95 |
| Wireless Broadband 3 GB | $40.95 |
| Wireless Broadband 6 GB | $56.95 |
These plans are better as a set and forget it option as you don't have to keep topping it up all the time. If you exceed the plan allowance however your service continues to operate and you will be billed for the excess usage.
Naturally if this happens regularly then we would recommend changing to a higher usage plan.
Coverage:
Our service runs on the 3G Network (Not Telstra NextG). This network is used by all the other mobile carriers such as Optus, Virgin, Vodaphone etc. Coverage in the Darwin and Palmerston Region is very good; however can be patchy in Howard Springs and Humpty Doo.
Every site is different and we do not guarantee that you can get reception; however if you are in a poor reception area we have external antennas that may help; and because of our no contract policy and return policy on the hardware then your not stuck with an item that doesn't work for you.
Return Policy on Wireless USB Modems
If your not satisfied within 14 days of purchase due to coverage issues (that are beyond our control) then we will offer you a store credit of $150 for the USB Modem - providing the unit is in a resalable condition.
We are unable to give refunds on the cost of the SIM Card or any un-used usage that has already been purchased as they have been tied to you and are non refundable.
